  • Will shading impact my production?
Typically, shading occurring outside the time frame of 8 am to 4 pm is unlikely to pose a significant issue. However, it's important to note that even minor shading on a small section of the system can have a more substantial impact on production, so it's advisable to evaluate the system's positioning on the roof and whether tree pruning is a worthwhile consideration.
  • How does a Battery Storage System work?
It stores energy either sourced from the grid or generated on-site, like solar PV, and subsequently releases that stored energy to supply electricity or other grid-related services when required.
  • How long do smart controls take to install?
The installation time for smart controls varies depending on the product and the complexity of the installation. However, most installations can be completed within a few hours.
  • Why should I switch to infrared heating?
You’ll save enormous amounts of money by switching to infrared heating, as it takes less energy to heat objects than it does to heat the air. Infrared panels are also extremely energy efficient, converting 98% of their energy into heat, so there’s very little that gets wasted. There’s zero maintenance on infrared panels too, as they have no moving parts. This means you don’t need to worry about the heaters failing during those cold winter months, and facing a hefty repair bill in the process! Infrared panels help you to save space as well, as they can be mounted high up on walls, or even on the ceiling. As a result, you don’t need to worry about placing your furniture around your heaters, which therefore free up your entire floor space. Better yet, image panels mask your heaters entirely – blending them into your surrounding décor! As infrared is a naturally occurring type of heat, they’re incredibly beneficial for your health, especially for those who suffer from respiratory issues.
  • How long will it take to pay off the system?
The duration for your system to become cost-effective varies and relies on several elements, encompassing the system's size, its orientation, and the portion of energy you consume directly versus what you export to the grid.
  • What are smart controls?
Smart controls are a range of products that allow you to control your home’s heating and security remotely using your smartphone or tablet.
  • How does infrared heating work?
Infrared panels beam out a series of far infrared waves throughout a room, which bounce off all the objects (furniture, walls, people etc). Each time the waves hit something, they absorb some of the energy from the waves, and radiate it back out. The key thing here then, is that infrared panels heat the objects in a room, rather than the air itself which is how convection heaters work.
  • How much money can infrared heating save me?
Depending on the size of your property, they could save you anywhere up to 60% off the cost of your heating bills!
